Readers for Hand Stitching

Readers for hand stitching. I’ve been using readers for a long time. I normally use a 1.5 or a 1.75 for reading or working on the computer. A few months ago, some quilty friends pulled out some readers and started in on their stitching projects. They were using a MUCH higher focal length because it allows them to see their hand stitching much more clearly. I tried it and WOW – what a difference. I’m still sticking with my original readers for most things – but for hand stitching, I’m now using a 2.75. These specific readers are my favorite. I got the purple – but they come in lots of colors. One of the best parts about these glasses is the small hard case they come with.

These readers are my go-to glasses for hand stitching.  I love that I can wear them and see what I’m doing while I’m looking down at my stitching – but when I’m looking up (to watch TV or visit with a quilty friend),  I’m not looking through the readers. Perfect for my needs (and maybe yours too).
