A set of 8 acrylic Hexagon templates – this is the set I chose for myself.

The markings are running in the same direction as the measurements for most hexagon paper shapes. This means that the templates will measure the same size as the paper shapes. Each of the 8 sizes in this set – includes a 1/4″ seam allowance.

Product Info

Create your own Hexagon shapes in a variety of sizes with this Hexagon Acrylic Template Set. So many uses – use them as quilting templates when long arm quilting, trace them to cut paper hexagons to use in hand piecing or use them to “fussy cut” images from the fabric.

Please note – these templates are marked – and measured along one flat side (plus the seam allowance). This is the same way the “most” paper piecing papers are measured. This is a big deal. This means that if you purchase the 1″ hexagon papers – the 1″ template will match up with your papers.

Each is marked with the finished size (set includes .75″, 1″, 1.25″, 1.5″, 1.75″, 2″,  2.5″, 3″ finished) and has the seam allowance added to it. The measurement refers to one side of the hexagon so, for example, the 3″ actually measures 6″ at its widest part (point to point).

The clear acrylic hexagon quilting templates are easy to see through to the fabric when fussy cutting.

Thickness: Each template’s thickness is about 1/8 inch, and each template has holes at corners for easy marking of seam allowances.

Seam Allowance: Each template is marked with a 1/4 inch seam allowance, due to the 1/4 inch seam allowance, the template is approx. 1/2 inch, larger than the listed finished product size.

Other than my own patterns, quilt labels, and other printable designs – most of the items in my shop link to Amazon. Those prices change (often for the better) and Amazon provides great detail and reviews for every item. I can search out and offer you the best of the best items in each category – without having to stock that item on my physical shelves. This saves you the time and energy of having to search out these items on your own.

Will I earn a small commission – should you decide to make a purchase? Maybe, I hope so. Does that change the price you pay for each item? Not in any way – you only pay the listed price for any item you choose to purchase.

Here’s the other benefit – Free Shipping is always available with an order of just $25.00 minimum for Amazon orders and delivery is normally very quick.
