The Quiltblox PDF Download Card

What is a PDF Download Card?

A PDF Download Card is a printed card that includes the front and back cover of the pattern or quilt label set as well as a unique Download Code (covered by a scratch off sticker). A project planner and the instructions for your customer are also provided on the inside of the PDF Download Card. Your customer would scratch off the sticker covering the Download Code, navigate to the provided web address and follow the short process to download and print their pattern or quilt label set. Most patterns an Quilt Label Sets are no more than 10 pages.

How is the PDF Download Card helpful to shop owners?

This PDF Card process allows shop owners to offer previously unavailable PDF patterns and quilt labels – without the need for tracking or remitting commissions to the pattern designer.

Why is the Download Code covered with a scratch off sticker?

The scratch off sticker is placed over the unique Download Code to prevent it from being used by anyone other than the person purchasing the PDF Download Card. 

Are the Quiltblox PDF Download Cards available through distributors?

Currently they are only available directly through Quiltblox. Shopowners can apply for a wholesale account at – Quiltblox.com/Wholesale/

Where can I see a complete listing of the Quiltblox Patterns and Quilt Label Sets?

All currently available PDF Patterns and Quilt Labels Sets can be found at 

https://payhip.com/Quiltblox – all are available to shops as a PDF Download Card.

Download Codes

Are Download Codes unique?

Yes – every download code on any Quiltblox Pattern or Quilt Label Set – is completely unique and is only used once.

Do Download Codes Expire?

The download codes do not expire – they are valid until they are used – and then they are automatically discontinued. Download codes are not reused.

Can my customer use a Download Code more than once?

No – each Download Code is valid for a single download of the selected Quiltblox Pattern or Quilt Label Set. Once they have used it – the Download Code is no longer functional. Their downloaded Pattern or Quilt Label Set is always available to your customer when they log back into the Payhip.com/Quiltblox store. Their file is also emailed to them at the email address they provided during the checkout process.

Can my customer use their Download Code on a different Quiltblox Pattern or Quilt Label Set?

Each Download Code is programmed to be valid for a specific Quiltblox Pattern or Quilt Label Set – that unique Download Code will not be applied to any other product. It is valid only for the specific product they purchased at your quilt shop.

Downloading the Pattern or Quilt Label File

Why do customers have to “Purchase and Checkout” on the website?

This is the process needed to obtain their name and email address so that their Pattern or Quilt Label Set can be emailed to them. No payment information is required – they have already paid for their pattern at your quilt shop.

My customer entered their email address – where do they enter the Download Code?

At the bottom of the Check Out Form – they will see the words “ADD COUPON” highlighted in blue. Once they click on that link – and they will then see a screen where they can enter their unique Download Code. The system will ask for their name – once they enter it, they will get a Button (to click on) that will download their Pattern or Quilt Label Set. It will also be emailed to the email address they provided.

Will my customers access to their downloaded pattern ever go away?

Your customer will always have access to their downloaded pattern stored on their computer. Should they lose their file – they can log back into their account on the website and download the file again since they have purchased it – it will always be theirs to use.

Standard or Custom PDF Download Cards

Quiltblox PDF Download Cards are available two ways.

  • Standard – Standard PDF Download Cards come to you with my original cover image. Orders are shipped 3 – 5 days after receipt of the order and payment. 
  • Custom – Custom PDF Download Cards include an image of your store / kit sample in place of the larger image on the front cover of the PDF Pattern Card.
    • Once you place and pay for your order – if you have selected the customized option – you will receive the watermarked PDF Pattern of each title you ordered so you can make up your samples / kits.
    • Send me the image of your sample and your completed order is shipped to you in 3 – 5 days from receipt of the image. There is no additional charge for customization – however, your order will not ship until your image is received.

How do I merchandise the PDF Download Cards?

The PDF Download Cards can be be merchandised the same way you would merchandise any other pattern you offer in your physical or online shop. 

  • Hang them on your pattern wall.
  • Pin a copy to your store sample.
  • Kit them up (you’ll receive a watermarked shop copy of the PDF file for each title you order so you can make up store samples).
  • Feature them in your online store.
  • Post about them on your social channels and your “Lives”.

Payment and Shipping

How do I pay for my PDF Download Card order?

Once your order is placed (by email – Wholesale@Quiltblox.com) you will receive an email invoice. Click on the payment link in the email to pay your invoice. Once you have paid your invoice – you will receive a watermarked PDF file for each title you ordered so that you can make shop samples.

How are my orders shipped?

All orders (unless you specify something different) are shipped USPS Priority Mail.

Who does my customer contact if they have a question about the Quiltblox Pattern or Quilt Label Set they purchased from my shop?

Should your customer have a problem downloading their purchase – or a question about the specific Pattern or Quilt Label Set they purchased from you – I’ve made it easy for them to contact me by providing my email (printed in very PDF Download Card). I will help them to access their purchase and answer whatever questions they have about the product they purchased. I’ve also included on every PDF Card – a URL to a list of FAQ’s that answer a variety of questions about the PDF Download Cards and the process itself.
