It’s always a good day when I can release a new pattern and today is a very good day. Windmill is the newest entry into my line of multi-size patterns. Based on a version of a traditional pieced block – Windmill is a fun pattern to play with. Make it up in classic colors and fabrics – or mix it up a bit and try out some dramatic (or tone-on-tone) colorways.

I love the secondary patterns created by setting this block side by side – with no sashing. Depending on your choice of colors and fabrics – you can make the stars appear to “float” on the background. You’ll notice this is particularly true in the patriotic version pictured below.

Windmill includes instructions for 5 project sizes – a pillow, a table runner, and three quilt sizes (crib, throw, and twin) – each with (and without) borders.
