I mentioned in the last newsletter that I have some big news to share – and this is it! I’ve partnered with Connecting Threads and The Fat Quarter Shop. Both are well-known businesses serving the quilting industry. This partnership will allow me to offer fabric, precuts, kits, and other quilting goodies in my shop.
Nothing beats an in-store, hands-on experience when shopping for fabric. I get it completely. I have my favorite local quilt shops and never pass up an opportunity to check out the quilt shops when I’m traveling. As a quilter, I’m assuming the same is true for you too. Our local shops are fun places to shop – and they won’t be there for us if we don’t support them.
That being said, I also do a significant amount of fabric shopping online. There are several reasons for this including:
- I’m looking for something super specific and nobody local has it
- It’s so much fun to look through all the fabrics – without having to drive anywhere to do it
- Free shipping if I meet the order minimum
What does this mean for you?
Since I closed the shop in Beaverton, I’ve been trying to find a way to offer fabrics as a part of my online shop. I don’t have the physical space to do it in my sewing studio but knew there must be a way to make it happen. After all – what’s a quilt shop – without fabric?
When the opportunity to partner with both Connecting Threads and The Fat Quarter Shop came up – I jumped at the chance. This is the way I can offer you fabrics, precuts, and kits from nearly every manufacturer of quality quilting fabrics.
How does it work?
When you start your fabric shopping journey from the Quiltblox.com shop – and complete any qualifying purchase at either Connecting Threads or The Fat Quarter Shop – I will receive a commission on the amount of your purchase. In this way – you are supporting my small business too (and I appreciate it very much!) There is no additional cost for you, my commission is not added to your order. You pay only the amount that is represented by the products you are purchasing.
