The earliest days of quilting were very good examples of upcycling or recycling. Quilters used fabric scraps, old clothing, empty flour sacks, and anything else that would work in a quilt. The goal was to provide warmth for their families and needed to be economical. Earth Day is the perfect day for a quilt show!
