Did you know? March is National Quilting Month – what better way to celebrate than with a Shop Hop?
It’s been 4 years – almost to the day that we’ve had a shop hop in the Portland Vancouver area. How do I know that? Because I was the one who organized shop hops in this area for over 7 years. 3 times each year – each event with a theme and a palette of selected fabrics. It was so much fun. Then life changed and (with some help from a world wide pandemic) I made the decision to stop organizing theses events. It was a hard decision to make – I loved doing them!
Over the years I wrote a book about how I organized these local shop hops – in the hopes that someone else in this area would pick up where I left off.
I’m so excited to know that another shop owner has stepped up and organized a new Shop Hop event for this area. YAY!! This will be so much fun! Will this event be a little different from those I organized? Of course, it will – and that’s something to look forward to!
Introducing – Spools and Stitches Shop Hop 2024
The new shop hop organizer is Miki Landis, owner of the Enchanted Rose Emporium in Vancouver. She’s set up a Facebook page and has an email (spools.n.stitches@gmail.com) so you can reach out with questions.
It’s a great list of shops – and the event lasts for several days (March 8 – 17), so making it to each one shouldn’t be too difficult. Each shop will have a six-inch block and lots of goodies to tempt us with. I hope you’ll join in on the fun and support these great local shops!
