I’m so excited about this news, I can hardly stand it! When I had the retail shop open in Beaverton, I was a dealer for Sew Steady. You could see these tables in action in the shop – because I used one all day, every day. Now – I get to do the same thing as a Sew Steady marketing partner. Starting right now – You’ll find the Sew Steady tables listed in my online shop.
Not familiar with Sew Steady?
They are an Oregon-based company (Eugene) and they’ve been making extension tables to fit virtually every make and model sewing machine for years. Every single extension table is carefully crafted to fit its machine perfectly and be easy to set up, use, and store away.
Think about how the weight of the fabric pulls at the needle – especially with larger projects. Add an extension table and all of a sudden the project is supported, it glides easily without any tension or pulling around the needle. So much less stress on the project – and my shoulders.
How do you choose an extension table?
There are several options available – including a gorgeous black version to fit the classic Featherweight (that one is coming to my house!). The table you choose would depend on your needs. Do you need a larger work surface to support larger projects (the Giant Table might be the right one) or is your space small and you want your work supported in the space you have available? For tight spaces you might consider the Junior Table. I chose the Large Deluxe for both of my machines. If your needs fluctuate – you could consider the brand new Versa Core table – it has a small base table – and accommodates multiple extensions to create a larger work surface. Even more fun – it come in lots of cool colors.
Do you have a Serger? There is no work surface at all with my serger – it’s about to get it’s own Serger Extension Table.
Sew Steady offer so many great tools, in time I will be adding more of them to the shop. I wanted to start with the extension tables because they make such a difference in how comfortable I am working at my machine – I want that for you too. Here’s a link to the Sew Steady products I have listed so far – Sew Steady Tables.
How do you get your own extension table?
The process is still the same – you find the table you like in my shop, click on the “Check Price” button. You will be taken directly to the Sew Steady site and the specific table you are looking at. Enter your machine’s make and model and your billing/shipping address and payment information. Your table will take 3 – 4 weeks to build and ship directly to you. It will fit your machine perfectly and you’ll wonder how you ever sewed without it.
Questions? Let me know, I’m happy to answer any questions you have about these tables. I think you’ll love them as much as I do.
