One of my favorite things about quilting is that there is always something new to discover. So many quilting topics – so much to discover!
After all these years, I still find myself asking questions. Sometimes it’s something practical, like whether a particular batting will behave the way I expect. Other times it’s a bit of quilt history, a new technique, a color challenge, or simply wondering why something is done the way it is.
When a question catches my attention, I tend to chase it. I read, I experiment, I talk with other quilters, and I gather ideas from every source I can find. Somewhere along the way, I realized that writing about what I’ve learned helps me understand it even better. Organizing my thoughts, explaining a technique, or sharing what surprised me turns learning into something that sticks.
That’s really how many of the articles in the Quiltblox Creative Community begin. They don’t start because I think I already have all the answers. They start because I’m curious – and I just have to know how things work.

Some of my favorite articles have grown out of conversations with fellow quilters. A simple question over a beverage of choice, an email from a customer, or a comment in our community often sends me down a fascinating path of discovery. Those conversations have also introduced me to wonderful products, helpful tools, and creative ideas that I might never have found on my own.
