The Metropolitan Patchwork Society held the annual quilt show on March 8th and it was a lovely day for a quilt show! What better way to spend a few hours than to wander through a show where the artistry of quilters is on display?
The theme for the show – Silver Linings. This theme was chosen to reflect the 2024 challenge, where members were provided with a Fat Quarter of silver fabric in honor of the guild’s 25th anniversary. Members were challenged to create a project that included the silver fabric and 25 things (could be anything). It was the highest rate of participation recorded in recent (or not so recent) history.
I heard there were people waiting at the door before the show was set to open. If you were one of those people – thank you so much! If you came later in the day to take in the show – (like me) thank you so much for coming! If you weren’t able to attend the show – no problem, I’ve got you covered. I took pictures of (I think) every quilt in the show.
Here are the challenge quilts that were included in the show.

The show also featured a fabulous display of traditional, modern, and artistic quilts.

The next MPS Quilt Show will be an outdoor show in the summer of 2026. As soon as the dates are announced – I’ll share them with you.
