I have recently become a HUGE FAN of Mistyfuse for use in my applique projects. It’s a different process than using a paper-backed fusible, but the results are so good. The fabric still retains its drape and feel, and it effectively fuses my applique shapes in place. Even better, I can store the pre-fused scraps for other projects; nothing goes to waste.

Mistyfuse:

Mistyfuse is a sheer fusible that creates a lasting bond without bulk – won’t gum up needles. It’s suitable for most fabrics, from velvets & cottons to delicate tulle.

  • Technique: Used for applique (fusing fabrics together)
  • Size: 20″ x 10 yards
  • Solvent Free: No added adhesives, environmentally friendly
  • Strength: Very strong, stays soft with no added bulk to the project.
